IFT through hole coil transformers

 Mid-cycle transformer has the function of frequency selection. In the discharge circuit of superheterodyne radio, the primary coils of intermediate frequency transformer T1 and T2 form 465 kHz resonant circuit with C1 and C2 respectively as the load of transistor VT1 and VT2, so only 465 kHz intermediate frequency signal is amplified, which plays the role of frequency selection.
